Monarchs Signs Boutin To Tryout

MANCHESTER, NH – The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have signed goaltender Jonathan Boutin to a professional tryout agreement, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today.

Boutin, 23, joins the Monarchs from the AHL’s Manitoba Moose where he played in one game on December 5 against the San Antonio Rampage and stopped 24-of-28 shots in the loss.  He has also played in 11 games with the ECHL’s Victoria Salmon Kings and has earned a record of 6-3-2, a 2.64 goals-against-average and a .909 save-percentage this season.  The 6-foot-2, 206-pound native of Granby, Quebec, split the 2005-06 and 2006-07 seasons between the AHL’s Springfield Falcons and the ECHL’s Johnstown Chiefs, and played for the AHL’s Norfolk Admirals during the 2007-08 season.  Boutin has an AHL career total of 98 games with a 30-48-6 record, a 3.26 goals-against-average and a 0.899 save-percentage.  He will wear No. 46 for the Monarchs.
